Select Album Photos

The procedure for selecting album photos is as follows:

  1. First, create an album. Click Albums in the left menu, then click Create Album on the right side. The album detail page appears. Enter an album name.

  2. Add photos to the album. There are three ways to add photos:

  • Select from the full photo list
  • Select from photos containing a specific person
  • Auto-select

First, try selecting from the full photo list.

Click Add Photos in the top-right corner. The photo list appears. Click checkmarks on photos you want to add. After selecting photos, click Done to add them to the album.

  1. Next, try selecting from photos that contain a specific person.

In the top-right view menu, select People View. On this page, you can check album photos by person.

  1. Click Add Photos of This Person next to the person. A photo list containing that person appears. Click checkmarks on photos you want to add. After selecting photos, click Done to add them to the album.

On the photo selection page, you can choose the sort order: Newest First, Oldest First, Face Size, or Similarity.

  1. Finally, try auto-select. Click Auto Add Photos in the top-right corner. The auto-add page appears. Enter the target number of album photos and click Add Photos. Albumie automatically selects photos so that the number of photos per person is balanced.

  2. After selection completes, a list of added photos is shown. If everything looks good, click Done in the top-right corner. If there are photos you do not want to add, uncheck them and click Done. To cancel all additions, click the X button in the top-left corner.

You can also click the List of Added Photos by Person tab to compare existing album photos and newly auto-selected photos by person.

tip

It is useful to classify album photos by events (e.g., sports day, graduation ceremony). Then you can quickly see how many photos you have per event. For classification steps, see Categorize Album Photos by Event.

This is how Albumie helps you select photos efficiently. Auto-select is especially useful when you need to include many photos. A recommended workflow is: auto-select first, then refine by removing/adding photos.
